Shirley Howarth (Nee Roberts) originally from Stalybridge, passed away at home in Charlesworth on 12th September 2023 aged 90 years.

Shirley was the cherished wife of the late Alan Howarth. Loving mother to Jane and Anne. Mother-in-law to Roger and Scott and grandmother to Beth, Lucy, Jake and Theo.  She was also the beloved teacher of generations of infants at Dinting C of E Primary School. She is sadly missed by all who knew her.

Family Flowers only please but donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s Society and Target Ovarian Cancer.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday 10th October 2023 at Holy Trinity Church, Dinting at 12-45pm and will be followed by a committal at Dukinfield Crematorium at 2pm.

The family would like to invite you all to refreshments after the service at Charlesworth and Chisworth Cricket Club
