If you are a UK tax payer you can Gift Aid your donations, making them worth 25 per cent more to the charity, at no extra cost to you!

At this difficult time for all those suffering loss , attendance at funerals is strictly limited to only a very few

close, family members. If you see a hearse, just take a moment to stop, stand quietly and pay your respects

as it passes, simply bowing your head or removing your cap.


This is your chance to support others during a bereavement by reviving an old tradition that would show people their loss is acknowledged and shared by us all. It would mean the world to families in a time of sadness.

Much-loved and well-respected Glossop resident Ruth Fennell has passed away aged 93 at Whitfield House after a short illness.

BARBARA DE SANTOS

The death occurred very peacefully at Tameside Hospital on the 5th March 2021 of Mrs Barbara de Santos, 94, of Glossop. Barbara, known to her family as Ganga will be greatly missed by Linda and Martin, her 3 grandchildren, spouses,  six great grandchildren and all her knew her.

Thank you Tameside Hospital for care given and arranging video goodbye. A private family  funeral service will take place on Tuesday 13th April 2021 at Dukinfield Crematorium at 12.00 noon. A memorial gathering will be at a later date. Family flowers only please and donations if desired are to RNLI.
